TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Varnstead Rottweilers – Purebred Rottweiler Sales

Effective Date: September 1, 2025

Welcome to Varnstead Rottweilers. By purchasing a dog from us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Purchase Price

  • Each purebred Rottweiler puppy is sold for $2,000 USD. An additional $500 is added for breeding rights.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $500 USD is required to reserve a puppy. The balance of $2,000 is due prior to or at the time of pickup/delivery.

  • Payment methods accepted: Cash.

2. Health Guarantee

  • All puppies will receive a veterinary health check and age-appropriate vaccinations prior to transfer.

  • Puppies will be dewormed and come with a record of veterinary care.

  • Varnstead Rottweilers guarantees that puppies are free of life-threatening genetic disorders for 12 months from the date of sale.

  • If a life-threatening genetic condition is diagnosed within this period, buyer may receive a replacement puppy of equal value (upon veterinarian certification and return of the original dog, unless otherwise agreed).

3. No Returns or Refunds

  • All sales are final.

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • Refunds are only issued if Varnstead Rottweilers cannot provide the purchased puppy due to unforeseen circumstances.

4. Buyer’s Responsibilities

  • Buyer agrees to provide appropriate food, shelter, exercise, training, and veterinary care.

  • Buyer agrees not to use the dog for illegal purposes (e.g., dog fighting).

  • Buyer agrees to comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding pet ownership.

5. Breeding Rights

  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, puppies are sold as pets only.

  • Breeding rights may be available for an additional fee and separate contract.

6. Transfer of Ownership

  • Ownership transfers to the buyer once full payment has been received and the puppy has been physically delivered to the buyer.

  • Varnstead Rottweilers is not responsible for the dog’s health, safety, or behavior after transfer of ownership.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • Varnstead Rottweilers is not liable for any costs, damages, or injuries caused by the puppy after the sale.

  • Buyer assumes full responsibility for the care, behavior, and supervision of the dog.

8. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Illinois.

  • Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Peoria County, Illinois. All court costs are at the expense of the buyer.

9. Agreement

By placing a deposit or purchasing a puppy from Varnstead Rottweilers, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Puppy Information

2. Purchase Price & Payment

  • Total Price: $2,000 USD for non-breeding rights / $2,500 USD for breeding rights

  • Deposit: $500 USD (non-refundable, applied toward purchase price)

  • Balance Due: $1,500 USD for non-breeding rights / $2,000 USD for breeding rights (due at pickup/delivery)

  • Payment Method(s): Cash

3. Health Guarantee

  • The puppy is sold as healthy to the best of the Seller’s knowledge.

  • The puppy has received age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming. Veterinary records will be provided.

  • The Seller guarantees the puppy to be free from life-threatening congenital/genetic defects for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  • If such a condition is diagnosed, Buyer may return the puppy (with veterinary documentation) for a replacement of equal value. Seller is not responsible for veterinary costs incurred by Buyer.

4. Buyer Responsibilities

Buyer agrees to:

  • Provide the puppy with proper nutrition, housing, exercise, training, and veterinary care.

  • Never use the puppy for illegal activities, including dog fighting.

  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws regarding pet ownership.

5. Spay/Neuter & Breeding Rights

  • Unless otherwise agreed, this puppy is sold as a pet only, with breeding rights provided to those who pay the additional amount of $500.

  • If breeding rights are granted, an additional fee and separate agreement must be executed.

6. Return Policy

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • All sales are final.

  • Seller is not obligated to accept the puppy back once ownership has transferred, except under the health guarantee (Section 3).

7. Transfer of Ownership

  • Ownership passes to Buyer upon full payment and physical transfer of the puppy.

  • Seller is not liable for the puppy’s health, behavior, or actions after this transfer.

8. Liability

  • Buyer assumes full responsibility for the puppy’s actions, behavior, and welfare after transfer.

  • Seller is not liable for any damages, injuries, or expenses once ownership has transferred.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of Illinois. Any disputes shall be resolved in Peoria County, Illinois. All court costs are at the expense of the buyer.
